Publication Policy
LOKUM aims to support the development of academic publishing in an impartial and respectable manner. In this context, authors, readers, researchers, reviewers, editors, and editorial board members have to meet the standards required by ethical principles, and all stakeholders are expected to have ethical responsibilities. LOKUM is committed to adopting the principles published by the "Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE)" as open access in ethical duties and responsibilities.
Open Access Policy
Author(s) retain the copyright of their papers without restrictions, but they are responsible for the content of their article published in the journal. Author(s) also grant LOKUM non-exclusive first publishing rights to publish their articles. Author(s) confirm that their articles' content does not bind the owner, editor, co-editors, or advisory board members of LOKUM. Author(s) declare that their articles are original and have not been published previously or are not under consideration of publication elsewhere. LOKUM is an open-access journal and it provides free and unlimited access to the articles that it publishes without any form of restriction, subscription, or requirement. Based on its open-access policy, the journal allows readers to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of its articles and allow readers to use them for any other lawful purpose. Thus, LOKUM lets researchers remix, adapt, and build upon the articles published on its website non-commercially, as long as they credit LOKUM and license their new work under identical terms. Because of its open-access policy, LOKUM does not allow others to commercially share the articles that it publishes. It is not possible to quote from the published article without showing the source.
Ethical Principles
The editorial board is free to publish or not publish the submitted article. The published article of the author(s) can be removed from publication, if deemed necessary, in line with the decision of the editorial board. Articles that crippling national unity and solidarity, discriminating people, and inciting hatred are not accepted. No royalties are paid to the author(s).
"Ethics Committee Approval" is requested for articles published in all branches of science, including social sciences, upon the change made in TR Index Journal Evaluation Criteria for the year 2020. Studies that require the approval of the Ethics Committee are as follows:
1. All kinds of research carried out with qualitative or quantitative approaches that require data collection from the participants by using survey, interview, focus group work, observation, experiment, interview techniques,
2. The use of humans and animals (including material/data) for experimental or other scientific purposes,
3. Clinical studies on humans,
